The Sibylline of Books is an outlet for books of outstanding value, in terms of intellectual and cultural significance. These are books that deserve to be highlighted in today's vast stream of publications, and made available to those book lovers who may not have time or inclination to pore through lengthy catalogues.

It is a non-profit organization under the sponsorship of the the Community of St. Matthew, a religious order. Gifts to the Community of St. Matthew are tax-deductible under article 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue code. This permission dates back to May 14, 1971 and proof will be furnished to any who so request.
