Sibyl Image

No one knows what the sibyls looked like. This image is called the Sibyl of Tiburtina. The artist was Athonis van Moontfoort known as Blocklandt (1532-1583) and the engraver was Philip Galle, of that same period in history. The engraving is from the collection of the Carleton University Art Gallery, Ottowa, Canada.
